Monday, April 16, 2012 at 1:48PM This month I had the amazing experience of flying in a helicopter over Seattle. It was in honor of my dear friend Helena Morris. Seattle was classically beautiful with white puffy clouds and sun coming in and out. It was a perfect day to get this perspective of this beautiful city.
Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 8:54PM I took some press photos for the Floratone group which is a colaboration between Lee Townsend, Tucker Martine, Matt Chamberlain and Bill Frisell. Unfortunately Matt was not around, but I was able to spend a moment with the other three and got these shots outside of Tuckers recording studio in Portland, OR.
Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 6:00PM I went down to Portland, OR for the weekend and photographed Bill Frisell playing with Jenny Scheinman, Greg Leisz, Tony Scherr and Kenny Wollesen. They were playing music by John Lennon. It was a great show at the Crystal Ballroom in downtown Portland.
Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 3:51PM On February 16th and 17th, 12 blacksmiths came together to have their first Hammer-In. They came together as part of a new group called The Guild of Centemporary Blacksmiths, to build a gate for a school outside of Auburn, WA. I was asked to photograph and film them during the event. I am currently going through all of the amazing film footage from the event, but for now here are a few stills.
Paul Porter helped with not only being a second shooter but with providing lighting for the filming.
Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 2:12PM I have recently descovered the art of panoramas because of my dear friend and teacher Daniel Sheehan. I was driving around Eastern Washington around Ellensburg and came across these amazing valleys and mountains. It was a great place to try this new technique out. These are some of the images that I came up with.
