Karol Neavor and Steve Hauch get hitched on Orcas Island

The sun was out and it was a perfect day to be photographing Karol and Steves wedding out on Orcas Island. They had a beautiful ceremony at the Odd Fellows Hall in East Sound, Orcas Island. I went to elementary school with Karol, so it was very moving to be able to photograph her wedding. Here are just a few of my favorites from the day. Paul Porter was also there helping me out.

Karol got ready at the Outlook Inn more in the center of town before heading over to Odd Fellows for the ceremony and reception.

We Fly over Seattle For Helenas Birthday

This month I had the amazing experience of flying in a helicopter over Seattle. It was in honor of my dear friend Helena Morris. Seattle was classically beautiful with white puffy clouds and sun coming in and out. It was a perfect day to get this perspective of this beautiful city.

Unfortunately Matt was not around, but I was able to spend a moment with the other three and got these shots outside of Tuckers recording studio in Portland, OR.

Bill Frisell plays at the Portland Jazz Festival

I went down to Portland, OR for the weekend and photographed Bill Frisell playing with Jenny Scheinman, Greg Leisz, Tony Scherr and Kenny Wollesen. They were playing music by John Lennon. It was a great show at the Crystal Ballroom in downtown Portland.

Some Stills from the first Hammer-In with the Guild of Contemporary Blacksmiths

On February 16th and 17th, 12 blacksmiths came together to have their first Hammer-In. They came together as part of a new group called The Guild of Centemporary Blacksmiths, to build a gate for a school outside of Auburn, WA. I was asked to photograph and film them during the event. I am currently going through all of the amazing film footage from the event, but for now here are a few stills.

I was driving around Eastern Washington around Ellensburg and came across these amazing valleys and mountains. It was a great place to try this new technique out. I had the great pleasure of being on the set of a film shoot that James George and Alexander Porter put together. They were working with dancer and model Alice Gosti and Paul Porter supplied the lighting. They were experimenting and using a new 3-D imaging technology to create a beautiful story and another world. These are a few stills that I photographed during the shoot.

These Dogs Are too Much

You may see this dog wandering around Ballard every once and awhile. His owner David Tuthill is a blackmsmith that I am working with. I took this shot today while we (meaning the dog and I) waited for David in his car. Odin's eyes are just too much.
